Poverty can be defined as the state of being inferior in quality or insufficient in amount of care, support or general day to day living. You will be amazed to know the percentage of poverty in Ajegunle.
Its not a news to know that about 98% of people living in Ajegunle are all in abject poverty, the causes are not because the inhabitants are not creative or not hardworking enough but because the fatigue leadership and myopic government are all vested interest.
Ajegunle have more than 1.2 million population with about 425 streets, the ghetto has popularly known has survive attempts to wipe it out through negligence of those in position to use its resources for development purposes.
Daily skills are dying, talent are buried, instead of the government to help by harnessing the strength in the community into development, they brain wash and use them as a tool for their political gain.
Its obvious now that people dont even care about the value of life anymore in Ajegunle, death is nothing in the present of AJ youth, the residence count scores as street to street battle with cutlasses and gun.
So this warrant me to want to ask: What is the cause of poverty in Ajegunle, should we attribute the fault to the government or to the people for not taken charge of their destiny!
Thank you for your contribution towards the development of Ajegunle.
